This satellite is most powerful satellite of Asia region. It has higher bandwidth and specially designed to deliver significantly improved power. It is the replacement satellite for Asiasat 4 at 122 E. Asiasat 9 have multiple C, Ku, Ka Band payloads. The special focus of this satellite is Ku band Myanmar beam, Indonesia & Mongolia covered new Ku band beams, two enhanced Ku band beams serving for Australasia and East Asia. It has also a high power C band beam which covered across the Asia-Pacific region. The five Ku band beams onboard Asiasat 9 is equipped with cross-strap beam switching capability to provide flexible coverage mission profile. The portion M launch vehicle, utilizing a 5-burn Breeze M mission design, will lift off from Pad 39 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan with the Asiasat 9 satellite on board. The first three stage of the portion will use a standard ascent profile to place the orbital unit(Breeze M upper stage and the Asiasat 9 satellite) into a sub-orbital trajectory. From this point in the mission, the Breeze M will perform planned mission manoeuvres to advance the orbital unit first to a nearly circular parking orbit, then to an intermediate orbit, followed by a transfer orbit, and finally to a geosynchronous transfer orbit. Separation of the AsiaSat 9 satellite is scheduled to occur approximately 9 hours, 13 minutes after lift-off.
